In the Kherson Region, the Ukrainian servicemen maintain the fire control of the occupied territories along with logistics and transport arteries.

This was stated by Natalia Humeniuk, Head of the United Coordinating Press Center of Security and Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine.

The Defense Forces aim to prevent the enemy’s ability to supply its troops.

“We have already confirmed that the echelon of the enemy’s forces – both human and armory and ammunition – that was attempted to be brought up to support the troops was destroyed by us. Both its detonation and the subsequent fire were quite effective as for this hit,” Humeniuk said.

The report regards defeating the enemy echelon in the area of the Brylivka railway station.

The actual losses of the Russian troops in this shelling are still being confirmed.

In addition, Natalia Humeniuk emphasized that the Defense Forces continue destroying ammunition depots in this direction.

As previously reported, on the evening of July 31, eyewitnesses reported a large-scale fire in the temporarily occupied Skadovsk. Local residents reported that it started after a powerful explosion.

“Our aviation and missile and artillery units are executing excellent operations in various districts of the Kherson region,” Humeniuk said.

At the same time, there are reports of the enemy units redeployment and their concentration in the Kryvyi Rih direction.

“Intensification of shelling in this direction also speaks of it (the enemy – Ed.) applying psychological pressure in that part of our operational zone and the population of this region. Tonight, in particular, the other side of the reservoir was fired at with MLRS,” Humeniuk emphasized.

Valentin Reznichenko, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, reported that the invaders shelled the city of Marhanets.

“More than 60 strikes with Grad multiple rocket launchers in Marganets and the Chervonohryhorivsk community. The Russian army is deliberately targeting residential neighborhoods and firing at people who were asleep at that time,” Reznichenko said.

He also released a photo of the shell hits in the residential buildings.

As a result of the shelling, two women were injured. One of them is hospitalized in a severe condition.

As previously reported, last week, an ammunition depot was neutralized in the occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia Region, from where the invaders were firing on Nikopol.
