During the night, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed one of the military bases in the temporarily occupied city of Melitopol. This is one of the 4 positions of the invaders in the city.

Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov shared this.

“During the night, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed one of the four military bases of the ruscists. They launched over 30 strikes exclusively at the Russian military base,” he wrote.

Local mass media released a video of nighttime hits at the Russian base.

Eyewitnesses reported 15 explosions during the night and another 15 in the morning. It is also reported that shelling occurred near the airfield.

The occupation authorities are trying to accuse the Ukrainian servicemen of shelling civilians and infrastructure.

“At the moment, the invaders are trying to stage provocations claiming the shelling of peaceful areas and stating that the civilian population was affected and the city infrastructure was destroyed. This did not happen! The Ukrainian Armed Forces are doing everything to bring back the peaceful life and Ukrainian statehood to Melitopol. All that the invaders can do is flee from our city,” Fedorov said.

The Mayor of Melitopol also added that a large flow of Melitopol’s residents is expecting the evacuation.

As previously reported, on May 30 in Melitopol, explosions broke out in the area of the so-called civil-military administration.
