The Defense Forces destroyed the enemy’s 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer in the Donetsk region.
The Russian self-propelled howitzer was hit by a Ukrainian FPV strike drone operated by the operator of the Eyes of Retribution group of the 59th Separate Infantry Brigade.
Volunteer and blogger Serhii Sternenko published a video of the Ukrainian defenders’ combat mission.
Judging by the footage, the Russian artillery system was in a combat position in a ready-to-fire configuration.
The video captures an FPV drone destroying the Russian Gvozdika 122mm self-propelled howitzer. The incident took place near the Russian-occupied city of Donetsk.
After the Ukrainian drone hit, the self-propelled howitzer’s ammunition detonated, the explosion blew off the turret, and the ACS completely burned out, both inside and out.
A fire also broke out around the ACS. It is unknown what happened to the Russian artillery crew.
Also recently, the Ukrainian military hit the invaders’ Msta-S self-propelled howitzer near Avdiivka.
152mm self-propelled howitzers were hit in the combat positions of the Russian invaders.
Enemy artillery systems were attacked by FPV kamikaze drones controlled by the operators of the Muramasa group of the 109th Territorial Defense Brigade.
The Ukrainian FPV also hit an MT-LB multi-purpose light tracked armored tractor, which was moving on the road in the temporarily occupied territory.
Russians often use such tractors as armored personnel carriers to transport infantry and cargo.
