On October 5, the government of the Czech Republic approved a new batch of military aid to Ukraine with equipment, weapons and ammunition.
Jana Černochová, the Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic reported about this.
It will include heavy machinery, but the details of the deal are not being disclosed in the Czech Republic for security reasons.
According to her, since the beginning of the year, the export of military equipment from the Czech Republic to Ukraine has reached almost $1.9 billion.
At the same time, in total, the Czech Republic helped Ukraine for $4.2 billion.
The minister clarified that the Czech Republic is transferring to Ukraine not only heavy equipment, but also short-barreled and long-barreled weapons, as well as ammunition.
Chernokhova noted that Ukraine asked not to name the exact names of the weapons that the Czechs supply to Kyiv.
Chernokhova also held talks with the Czech defense industry officials.
According to Chernokhova, the current situation can contribute to the return of the Czech defense industry to the positions it occupied in the 1920s and 1930s.
At the same time, 90% of all Czech arms production goes to foreign markets.
As previously reported, the Defense Forces of Ukraine use T-72 tanks, which arrived from the Czech Republic, on the battlefield.
The Ukrainian military is also armed with the Czech 12.7 mm Falcon sniper rifle.
