The Czech initiative Drony Nemesis has raised more than €8 million for the purchase of FPV drones for the Ukrainian military in almost a year.
This was announced on December 6, 2024, by a representative of the Skupina D organization, which organized the fundraising campaign, according to the Radio Prague International report.
The project was launched last year in December. Czechs have already donated a total of more than CZK 203 million, although the initial goal was to raise only 100 million (about €4 million).
With these funds, the organizers of the initiative have already purchased and delivered 12,000 FPV drones to the Ukrainian Defense Forces, and another 3,000 are awaiting shipment.
The organization also presented a new project called Spravedlivá odplata (Just Retribution), which aims to purchase 100 tons of plastic explosives and other engineering and pyrotechnic equipment for the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to representatives of the Czech organization, the explosives will be purchased in batches of 5 tons, each of which, including transportation, will cost CZK 10 million (about €400,000).
The explosives can be used not only for combat, but also for demining
The Skupina D organization was founded under the patronage of the Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Armed Forces, Major General Karel Řehka to launch a collection for 10,000 drones.
In addition, the organizers noted that they have the ability to check how resistant the selected drones are to electronic warfare (EW) systems.
In November, the Czech company STV GROUP donated RPG-7 anti-tank grenade launchers to Ukraine for a total of CZK 20 million.
Ambassador of Ukraine to the Czech Republic Vasyl Zvarych thanked for this support and emphasized that the company was one of the first to show solidarity with Ukraine.
