Czech billionaire Jan Barta will donate $2 million for FPV drones for the Ukrainian military for retweets of his post on social media X.
He stated this on his page.
For each retweet, the billionaire and investor will transfer $100 to the Nemesis project, which raises funds for 10,000 FPVs for Ukraine.
“We live in a time increasingly resembling the second half of the 1930s. I couldn’t live with myself with the knowledge I didn’t do more to stop another Hitler,” Barta wrote in his X post.
At the same time, Barta noted that his limit for this campaign is two million dollars.
On social media, the Czech billionaire reported on the number of reposts and, accordingly, the amount of money he had already transferred to purchase drones for the Ukrainian military.
At the beginning of Tuesday, February 20, Barta reported that the number of retweets had reached the set limit, allowing him to transfer all the promised two million dollars.
The donor from the Czech Republic has already transferred $400,000 for the purchase of FPV drones. The remaining amount will be transferred within a few days.
In December, the Czech military and reservists joined forces to purchase 10,000 FPV drones for the Ukrainian military within the Nemesis project.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Military of the Czech Republic explained that the project participants will make efforts to ensure that the drones are produced with the knowledge and wishes received from Ukraine.
In addition, the association can also check how resistant the selected drones are to EW signals.
According to Řehka, the creation of the association is also beneficial for the Czech military, as, like during the training of Ukrainian soldiers in the Czech Republic, it will also be able to acquire knowledge gained from the Russian-Ukrainian war.
