Croatia will provide Ukraine with the eleventh military aid package to strengthen the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, who arrived in Kyiv to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, announced this.
The main topics discussed by the politicians were humanitarian demining, postwar recovery, and the rebuilding of energy facilities in Ukraine.
“We always count on your support, in particular in political matters, also on the way to the European Union and NATO,” Zelensky stated.
This is Plenković’s first visit during his third mandate, but one of numerous visits to Ukraine over the past 8 years, including the third during the full-scale invasion.
Including the additional assistance package, Croatia has provided a total of €300 million in aid.
According to ArmyRecognition, Croatia previously sent Ukraine 14 Mi-8 helicopters, 15 M-46 130 mm cannons, and a number of Rak gun-mortars.
The publication also claims that Croatia handed over 40 D-30 122 mm howitzers, a certain number of anti-tank missiles, 35,000 Zastava M70 assault rifles, 5,000 FN FAL assault rifles, a certain number of large-caliber machine guns and ammunition to Ukraine.
For air defense, an unspecified number of Igla and Strela-2 MANPADS were transferred from their own stockpiles.
In addition, it is claimed that the Croats supplied the military with helmets, body armor, and other ammunition from their own stocks.
And also that Croatia has allocated its money to pay for a certain number of 155 mm shells for Ukraine through the European Defence Fund.
As previously reported, the air fleet of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine will be replenished with at least one An-32B transport aircraft, which is being handed over by Croatia.
