A powerful explosion occurred on the territory of the Belbek military airfield in the temporarily occupied Crimea after the announcement of an air alert.

According to eyewitnesses, after the explosion, fire trucks and ambulances headed toward the military airfield.
The explosion occurred after an air raid alert was announced on the peninsula. In addition, local residents report the operation of air defense systems.
The operation of air defense systems was confirmed by the local governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev.
The military airfield in Belbek is used by the Russian Aerospace Forces. The Russian 38th Fighter Aviation Regiment of the 27th Mixed Aviation Division is located at this airfield.
The aviation regiment is equipped with Su-27 fighter aircraft and new Su-30SM multirole fighters.
In addition to Belbek, explosions have also been reported in other parts of the temporarily occupied Crimea.

The explosion took place in the city of Sevastopol, where the 222nd air defense communication center of the Russian Black Sea Fleet is located.
According to local residents, two missiles were seen in the sky, one of which hit the territory of the military unit.
Not far from the explosion’s epicenter is a radar communications and air defense control post of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, providing control and guidance for combat aircraft.
