Today, the crew of a Mi-24 helicopter of the 12th Separate Army Aviation Brigade was killed during a combat mission.
The unit reported the loss, noting that the crew was engaged in active combat.
According to the brigade, the army aviation helicopter was involved in repelling a Russian attack.
The units of the 12th Separate Army Aviation Brigade provide fire support, conduct aerial reconnaissance, airborne assault, and evacuate personnel from the combat zone.
The brigade is named after Viktor Pavlenko, the commander of the UPR Air Force.
The brigade emphasized the professionalism and courage of the deceased crew, who performed the task to the last.
“This is an irreplaceable loss for aviation, for the country, for the families who were waiting for their loved ones at home,” the 12th Separate Army Aviation Brigade noted.
