The construction of a new plant to produce missiles and drones for Ukraine was launched in Denmark.

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the project during a briefing in Copenhagen.

He said it is part of a broader program to strengthen the defense capabilities of Ukraine and Northern European countries.

“We have agreed that Latvia, Lithuania, and other partners will also move in this direction and set up defense enterprises with Ukraine,” Zelensky said.

In June, Denmark became the first country where Ukraine began joint production of long-range drones and missiles abroad.

It has not been disclosed which missile and drone models will be manufactured.

Earlier this year, Copenhagen allocated €1.26 billion to support Ukrainian production of long-range drones.

The Ukrainian company Fire Point, known for developing the Flamingo cruise missile, has also joined the project.

It is preparing to launch solid rocket fuel production in Denmark.

This will be the first documented example of a Ukrainian defense enterprise operating in Denmark.

The project will strengthen Ukraine’s independence in producing critical missile components.

Fuel production will be organized under new Danish legislation that allows the government to waive specific regulations and citizen complaints if a project is deemed vital for defense or civil security.
