The Come Back Alive Foundation has transferred a PD-2 reconnaissance system to the 92nd Assault Brigade.
This was announced on the Foundation’s official Facebook page.
The cost of the ninth PD-2 reconnaissance system, which includes two drones and a control station, is UAH 29,921,679.07.
In addition, the Foundation’s specialists integrated the command post equipment into a four-wheel drive minibus to comfortably use drones.
This will provide better opportunities for rapid deployment of the unit in certain areas and allow operators to be in comfortable conditions while conducting reconnaissance behind enemy lines.
In addition, the drone has an effective range of 180 kilometers and modern optical equipment with a 30x optical zoom for daytime optics and a 5x zoom for thermal imaging.
Besides, the drone has the ability to automatically track the target in real-time.
Such specifications provide the ability to control beyond the range of enemy artillery systems, which will ensure the safety of operators.
Militarnyi previously reported that on December 21, 2023, the Come Back Alive Foundation handed over a new PD-2 reconnaissance system to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.
The system consists of two reconnaissance UAVs, a power supply, and communication equipment for the ground station, integrated into a four-wheel drive minibus.
The cost of this set is UAH 25,709,801.13.
According to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, placing the system on a vehicle chassis allows for accelerated deployment and retraction of the UAV, as well as the ability to quickly change location, which literally saves the lives of operators from enemy counterattacks.
