The Come Back Alive Foundation has raised ₴309 million to combat Russian reconnaissance drones.
According to the Foundation, the funds were collected through the foundation’s “REBnemo tak REBnemo” (EW to win, EW to confuse) campaign.
“Thanks to your support, donations, and contributions from our partners, we have raised over ₴309 million to strengthen air defense against Russian reconnaissance UAVs,” the foundation said in a statement.
The final ₴47 million was donated by Ukraine’s allies — the Norwegian Fritt Ukraina.
The project will fund the purchase of anti-aircraft drones and related components to destroy enemy reconnaissance drones such as the Supercam, ZALA, and Orlan-10.
This approach is a more cost-effective and efficient alternative to using surface-to-air missile systems.
In addition to drones, transport vehicles will be delivered to boost the mobility of Air Force units, particularly for specialists in electronic reconnaissance (RER) and electronic warfare (EW).
EW/RER systems both intercept and analyze enemy signals and jam satellite and mobile communications to disrupt enemy operations.
The project will also provide secure communications equipment, including mobile command posts and portable kits for mobile fire teams, ensuring autonomous field operations.
All equipment, except the transport vehicles, is Ukrainian-made and tailored for active combat missions by the Air Force.
Mobile EW/RER units are being built from the ground up and undergo specialized training. Their mission is to detect and neutralize enemy drones, including those operating near Patriot missile batteries, thus enhancing air defense coverage.
In March, Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense began procurement of Ai-Petri SV systems for countering technical intelligence threats.
