The Army Aviation Brigades of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received pickups and drones from benefactors.
The ceremony of vehicles’ transfer by the Come Back Alive Foundation was held on Motorist and Road Worker Day.
In addition to cross-country vehicles, Army Aviation Brigades received quadcopters.
Pickups were transmitted with the Mi-8 and Mi-24 attack helicopters in the back.
“They will qualitatively improve the accuracy of our helicopters. Today we received an extremely important gift,” the military says.
These vehicles and quadcopters will allow the gunners to best help destroy the enemy.
“For an accurate hit on the enemy, an accurate adjustment by the forward observers on the ground is necessary. The equipment that the Come Back Alive Foundation handed over will help our helicopter pilots destroy the Russian invaders,” the military said.
The benefactors handed over Pegeout Landtrek and Mitsubishi L200 pickups to the Ukrainian military.
The military received fifth-generation Mitsubishi L200 pickups. The vehicles went on sale in 2015. In 2018, the model was completely updated, changing the appearance and equipment.
Vehicles are used for various purposes. Mobile groups with Mistral anti-aircraft missile systems were created on the basis of pickups in Ukraine.
Also, some Ukrainian units began to use multiple rocket launchers mounted on pickup trucks.
Recall that Army Aviation is the most mobile component of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Detachments and units of army aviation are armed with Mi-24, Mi-8, Mi-2 helicopters.
