The Come Back Alive Foundation has completed the delivery of 300 mortars to Ukrainian defenders.

The Foundation reported that they had shipped all 82-mm mortars within the framework of the “EYE FOR AN EYE 2. Let’s arm the Territorial Defense Forces” project.

The Foundation ordered these mortars from a Ukrainian manufacturer together with the OKKO filling stations.

Most of the mortars are already operating on the front line, while the rest are being distributed by the military command to the Territorial Defense Forces.

82mm mortars are the main weapon at the company and sometimes battalion level.

With these weapons, the Ukrainian military can hit the enemy at a distance of up to four kilometers in both offense and defense.

“The 300 new mortars transferred to the Territorial Defense Forces is a significant amount for the frontline,” Oleh Karpenko, Foundation’s Deputy Director, noted.

In 2023, volunteers started raising UAH 400 million for this project.

300 82mm mortars, 200 heavy-caliber machine guns, and 100 automatic 40-mm grenade launchers were purchased for these funds.

With this amount of weapons, the volunteers aimed to fully cover the Territorial Defense Forces’ urgent need for collective infantry weapons.

“Mortars, grenade launchers, and machine guns are the main infantry weapons that will help the terrorist defense fighters to defend themselves more effectively and go on the offensive,” the Foundation said.

In February, Ukrayinska Pravda paid for eight 120mm mortars for the military, which were delivered to the 48th Assault Battalion.
