Come Back Alive Foundation, the biggest organization providing assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has purchased six modern mobile stations to provide maintenance for the American HMMWV SUVs used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This was reported on the official Facebook page of the Foundation.

The cost of this project was approximately EUR 2.148 million.

The stations will significantly increase the capabilities and potential of those giving second life to Humvees and other Western armored vehicles.

The Foundation emphasizes that this is a ready-made comprehensive solution. Due to them, the repairs and maintenance of the American military SUVs will be possible to conduct not far from the front in a matter of hours, meeting the needs of several units.

These repair stations on the IVECO chassis will allow servicing of this necessary equipment for the Ukrainian soldiers without removing them from the battlefield for a long time. The trucks contain everything needed for this job: tools, equipment, and a comfortable workplace for the crew.

According to the Foundation, dozens and hundreds of new armored vehicles from the Allies are arriving in Ukraine, which allows extending their service life and period of operation.

“Mobile maintenance stations will soon be in Ukraine. And the result of this project will be experienced by the Ukrainian defenders,” the Foundation said.

Come Back Alive Foundation explained that a small team of professionals is currently repairing these military vehicles. However, occasionally, to fix serious malfunctions of the vehicle it is necessary to take it hundreds of kilometers away to a place where all conditions and tools are provided.

“This is a huge waste of resources, fuel, and, most importantly, time, which is now lacking. Without a vehicle ready for battle, not only the successful completion of the combat mission is endangered, but also the lives of our defenders,” the Foundation said.

New mobile maintenance stations will help meet the needs of repairing damaged or broken SUVs.

As previously reported, the Come Back Alive Foundation has purchased 100 new pickup trucks for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
