Ichkerian volunteer soldiers of the Ukrainian Defense Forces entered the territory of the Russian Belgorod oblast.
The Telegram channel ‘Oplot Ichkerii’ (Ichkeria’s Stronghold – Ed.) reported on this.
“Soon we will enter the entire North Caucasus as liberators. We will fight until we liberate the territory of occupied Chechnya from the two-headed hydra completely and release all our captive brothers and sisters who have been illegally held in Russian prisons for many years,” the statement reads.
The soldiers urged all nations occupied by Russia and all Russian Muslims, to rise up and resist Russian aggression by any means possible, without endangering themselves.
The Ichkerians also called on Caucasians and all Muslims not to vote in Putin’s ‘elections,’ because exactly his regime and his Russia have been killing Muslims for centuries and using them for its own selfish purposes.
“Kadyrov, you will soon have many surprises. Wait for us. And by the way, we have not met your battalions here. We are not surprised at all, but we would like to see you very much,” the statement added. In October 2022, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted to recognize the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria as ‘temporarily occupied’ by Russia.
Militarnyi previously reported that soldiers of the Sibir Battalion destroyed Russian armored vehicles in the Belgorod region.
One of the videos shows the destroyed Russian BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicle, which was burned by the military of the volunteer battalion during the battles in the Russian village of Gorkovsky.
In addition, another video shows a burned Russian BRM-1K combat reconnaissance vehicle, which was used by the Russian Armed Forces to counter the unit.
Recall that on March 12, 2024, the Freedom of Russia Legion, the Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC) and the soldiers of the Sibir Battalion entered the Russian Kursk and Belgorod oblasts of the Russian Federation as part of a joint operation.
Later, it became known that the volunteer formations of the Russian liberation forces pushed the Russian military out of the village of Tyotkino in the Kursk oblast.
Tyotkino is a settlement in the Glushkovsky district of the Kursk oblast of Russia.
It should be noted that the soldiers of the Sibir Battalion, which includes Yakuts and Buryats, also took part in the operation.
Soldiers of the Freedom of Russia Legion noted that “they are going to the polls.” In their video message, they explained their actions by wanting to liberate the Russian Federation from the Putin dictatorship. They published a video of them crossing the Ukrainian-Russian border.
