The Come Back Alive Foundation spent over 75 million hryvnias to buy 382 drones for the Ukrainian servicemen.
The drones were purchased within the Foundation’s competent assistance to the military approach.
The batch of civilian UAVs was bought with donations from regular citizens and organizations.
The drones cost 75,847,950 hryvnias.
According to the Foundation’s team, the important thing is that most of the purchased drones (264 units) have thermal imaging optics.
Thanks to these UAVs, Ukrainian scouts will effectively track down the Russian invaders day and night.
The Come Back Alive Foundation emphasized that nowadays the role of quadcopters on the frontline is difficult to underestimate. Providing the Ukrainian servicemen with drones is one of the key directions of the charitable foundation’s work.
“Trained pilots are another priority of our team. We bring “birds” to units with professional operators. We also provide training when there are not enough professional pilots and then transfer the equipment to already trained military personnel who understand the rules and principles of using UAVs on the modern battlefield,” the Foundation says.
It was previously announced that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive 350 Autel drones, purchased by the Poroshenko Foundation together with Sprava Hromad NGO.
In total, the organizations purchased 50 Autel EVO II 640T Dual quadcopters with thermal imagers and additional batteries, as well as 300 Autel EVO Lite+ UAVs.
These drones will allow Ukrainian servicemen to conduct reconnaissance, monitor the operation of mortars, and destroy Russian invaders with greater efficiency.
President Poroshenko also thanked the government of Estonia for assistance in preparing this purchase contract with the Autel Robotics company.
