Two developments by Ukrainian manufacturers—Frontline’s Burya remote weapon system with a grenade launcher and Tencore’s TerMIT ground platform—have successfully completed integration into a single combat system.

Militarnyi reports on this with reference to Frontline’s press release.

The new product will allow the Armed Forces of Ukraine to fire the Mk-19 grenade launcher from a distance without endangering themselves.

The TerMIT chassis has a range of 20 km, providing stable communication and maneuverability even in difficult conditions.

The Burya grenade launcher turret allows for 10 times more efficient firing and multiple targets, re-targeting in seconds on the operator’s command.

The operator controls this system remotely using a remote control or laptop. To fire the gun, it is enough to specify a point on the map or enter the coordinates.

The built-in stabilization system allows for precision firing on the move at a distance of up to 1800 meters.

“The turret’s automatic guidance system works very accurately, even better than the operator, especially when firing at multiple targets. A big advantage is that the turret can remember the settings and quickly re-aim between targets, ensuring accurate hits within a 20-30 meters radius,” a military officer from the unit that tested the system commented.

The development of ground robotic systems is a priority for the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence. The combat system is currently at the pre-order stage and is ready for mass production.

The turret weighs 47 kilograms and can be deployed manually on a tripod or delivered to the site using a logistics platform.

It is equipped with an automated guidance and fire control system that ensures rapid response to threats and accurate target engagement.

Remote control, aiming, and firing take place at a distance of 50-100 meters, and drones or the Kropyva system can do targeting.

The sophisticated software also allows for convenient targeting using a laptop or tablet while in a shelter at a distance from the turret.

The platform, which is based on a tracked chassis, has a payload of 300 kilograms and a range of 20 kilometers.

The drone can perform a variety of tasks: logistics, evacuation, mining, and strike missions.
