The Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Bakhmut direction were supplied with Bulgarian OGi-7MA rounds.

Improved OGi-7MA 40mm high-explosive rounds are designed for RPG-7 shoulder-launched anti-tank grenade launchers.

Footage capturing the use of Bulgarian rounds in Bakhmut was released by Ukrainian border guards.

The Bulgarian manufacturer stated that the hull of the round’s warhead has over 1250 fragments.

Also, the AF76 and AF72 fuzes have an ultra-fast and sliding (anti-ricochet) action function, regardless of the angle of impact.

In 2020, it was reported that Promoboronexport SE imported a batch of OG-7V 40mm high-explosive fragmentation rounds for RPG-7 anti-tank grenade launchers for the needs of the National Guard of Ukraine.

According to a report published on the Great Export Import website, which tracks imports and exports operations, the Ukrainian State Special Exporter purchased a batch of 2444 OG-7V rounds manufactured by Vazovski Mashinostroitelni Zavodi EAD (Bulgaria) from the Polish company Phu Lechmar Sp.z.o.o. in December 2019. The value of supplied ammunition was $403 thousand.
