In February, the Bulgarian government approved the 13th package of military aid to Ukraine since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
This was reported by the Bulgarian media outlet Novinite.
According to information published on the government’s website, Bulgaria has provided Ukraine with a total of 13 packages of military aid since the start of the full-scale war.
The most recent of these was approved by the country’s government on February 12, 2026.
It is noted that details regarding the type, volume, and financial cost of the aid remain classified.
The Bulgarian Ministry of Defense explained that this information cannot be disclosed because it is part of broader reports on the structure, armament, and capabilities of the country’s armed forces in both peacetime and wartime.
Sofia’s military support is provided to Kyiv in accordance with an agreement signed on December 5, 2022, between the Bulgarian and Ukrainian Ministries of Defense on the supply of weapons, equipment, and ammunition.
The agreement was ratified by the Bulgarian parliament on December 16, 2022. Lawmakers then decided not to publish the list of transferred weapons in the official journal.
Earlier, it was reported that since the beginning of the Russian invasion, the Bulgarian defense industry has manufactured a third of the weapons and ammunition supplied to Ukraine.
