British volunteers have donated 35 pickup trucks to the Ukrainian Defense Forces as part of the Pickups for Peace charity event.

Maksym Kozytskyi, the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, announced this.

The vehicles were delivered to Lviv on their own, where an official ceremony of handing them over to the military took place.

British farmer Mark Laird launched the Pickups for Peace charity campaign.

The cars were either donated by volunteers or purchased second-hand and repaired as part of the charity campaign.

“These off-road vehicles save the lives of our people, ensure timely delivery of medicines, and help evacuate the wounded from the combat zone,” Kozytskyi shared.

The vehicles arrived in Ukraine not empty but loaded with humanitarian aid, new tires, and other necessary items and provisions.

With today’s transfer, the volunteer movement has handed over more than 550 vehicles to the Ukrainian Defense Forces since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Vehicles at the front are one of the main elements for transporting soldiers, evacuating the wounded, and transporting provisions and ammunition.

It should be noted that this is not the first time that British farmers have donated their own off-road vehicles, as well as those they purchase at their own expense, to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In addition to UK citizens, citizens of the United States, the Netherlands, and other countries are also participating in this campaign.

Militarnyi previously reported that on November 23, 2024, British farmers donated 26 off-road vehicles to the Ukrainian Defense Forces as part of the Pickups for Peace charity event.

Thanks to this contribution, Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Regional Military Association, solemnly awarded Mark Laird, a volunteer and founder of the Pickups for Peace initiative, with a badge from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.
