The Parliament of the United Kingdom has updated the list of assistance provided to Ukraine since 2022.
The corresponding information appeared on the official website of the country’s parliament.
The updated list includes the number of transferred weapons, ammunition, communication equipment and armored vehicles.
The United Kingdom government has transferred around 100 Block 1C Harpoon anti-ship missiles from its own stockpile. Some of the missiles were removed from the Type 23 frigates.
About 100 air defense systems were transferred from the British army. These are the Stormer HVM air defense systems and the command-launch unit for Javeline ATGMs for the Starstreak and Martlet missiles. The list also includes more than 1,500 units of Martlet, Starstreak and AMRAAM missiles.
AMRAAM missiles were transferred from the Royal Air Force for the NASAMS air defense system.
In total, Britain has transferred 120 105-mm L119 and 155-mm L131 (AS-90) and M109 artillery systems, as well as 200,000 artillery ammunition for them. The government also announced an increase in the supply of artillery ammunition to 300,000 by the end of 2023.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine received more than 4,000 units of anti-personnel weapons, in particular, mortars, assault rifles and grenades, and 5 million rounds of ammunition for them. 12,000 anti-tank systems were also given, including 100 command-launch units for Javeline ATGMs, 600 Brimstone missiles and 2,500 units of Matador and LASM rocket launchers.
The aid comprises a company of Challenger 2 tanks (14 units) and 4,000 ammunition for them, as well as 300 units of armored vehicles, 40 sanitary and 120 IFVs. This number includes FV103 Spartan, FV432 armored personnel carriers, Husky, Mastif MRAPs and others.
The following items are also included in the list:
Due to secrecy, the number of GMLRS missiles transferred for the M270B1 MLRS and data on Storm Shadow cruise missiles have not been published.
As Militarnyi previously reported, the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom plans to increase spending to purchase weapons to build up stockpiles.
The country’s armed forces are targeting a global response force for operational deployment in Europe. The United Kingdom is increasing defense spending by £2.5 billion to build up the stockpile.
Stock replenishment is one of the key directions. Aid to Ukraine created large gaps in the British reserves. Therefore, it is necessary to replenish stocks and create a separate reserve.
