Turkey will export its KTJ-3200 turbojet engines for anti-ship missiles to Brazil under a new defense agreement.
Kale Jet Engines has signed a contract with Brazil’s SIATT to supply the KTJ-3200 engines.
The agreement was announced during the LAAD Defense and Security exhibition.
The engines will be integrated into the MANSUP-ER extended-range anti-ship missile, developed by SIATT.
SIATT is a subsidiary of EDGE Group, a defense conglomerate based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The KTJ-3200 is also expected to be used in missile systems entering service with the UAE Navy.
The contract marks another export milestone for Turkey’s defense industry and reflects Ankara’s efforts to produce high-tech systems with global market appeal.
Turkey’s defense sector has expanded its capabilities in recent years, aiming to not only meet domestic requirements but also supply advanced systems to allied and partner nations.
In 2023, the Brazilian Navy placed an order for the MANSUP-ER missile system.
Initial testing of the standard MANSUP missile began in 2018.
That year, the Brazilian Navy carried out a successful launch from the corvette Barroso (V30).
The MANSUP missile is based on the French Exocet system but incorporates locally produced Brazilian components.
