Border guards of the “‘Pomsta'” brigade stopped the Russian assault in the Bakhmut direction.
The press service of the State Border Guard Service announced this.
At dawn, the enemy reportedly tried to storm the border guards’ positions with two tanks, five armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles, and about 40 infantrymen.
Border guards elaborate that a medium-sized T-62 tank equipped with a mine trawl and blade was driving in front of the column of Russian armored vehicles, but it hit a mine and stopped.
An armored personnel carrier tried to drive around the hit vehicle, but it also exploded.
At first, artillery, including cluster munitions, and night drone-bombers were used to attack Russian infantry and armored vehicles.
At dawn, FPV drones and quadcopters with munitions took over.
On April 28, Militarnyi reported that the strike drone operators of the ‘Pomsta’ Brigade of the State Border Service destroyed an enemy warehouse in the Bakhmut sector.
The enemy ammunition depot, located in one of the half-ruined buildings, was destroyed by a precision munitions drop.
It is reported that a Vampire strike drone discharged the ammunition.
On April 18, it was reported that a drone of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine attacked an enemy boat in a southern direction.
The boat was destroyed by dropping ammunition, and there were no enemy personnel on board.
On April 14, it was reported that border guards of the Phoenix unit, the ‘Pomsta’ brigade, destroyed two enemy BTR-82A.
Enemy armored personnel carriers were reportedly destroyed by a Vampire strike drone near the village of Andriivka, Bakhmut district.
The attack killed one enemy infantryman and wounded another.
