The United States handed over dugouts to Ukrainian border guards as part of military assistance.
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported on this.
The dugouts received are worth over UAH 3.3 million and are equipped with the necessary property for autonomous use.
It is noted that these dugouts will provide proper conditions for the shelter and accommodation of servicemen during their service.
They are produced on the basis of metal sea containers. Inside, they are equipped with beds, a stove, and other necessary property.
The border detachment named after the Sich Riflemen was the recipient of the dugouts from the USA.
The transfer took place within the international aid project called “Strengthening the Capacity of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in the Field of Security of the Northern and Eastern Borders of Ukraine.”
The project is implemented in accordance with the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the United States of America on humanitarian, technical, and economic cooperation, as well as the Agreement on assistance in the field of law enforcement and criminal justice.
The property monitoring coordinator of the US Embassy in Ukraine and representatives of the border detachment attended the transfer ceremony.
“The provision of such technical assistance to the border guards will increase the efficiency of the service activities of the units during the execution of tasks for the protection of the northern border of Ukraine and will ensure proper protection of personnel,” Lt. Col. Viktor Kaidan, Head of the engineering service of the border detachment, noted.
At the beginning of July, Ukrainian border guards received a mobile hospital from the Netherlands.
The hospital is equipped with everything necessary to provide emergency medical care to the wounded and injured in the war zones.
