The Luhansk border guard detachment destroyed three Russian 2A36 Giatsint-B guns in the Kupiansk sector.
The video of their destruction was published on the detachment’s official Telegram page.
The guns were discovered by the detachment’s aerial reconnaissance in prepared positions, where the enemy had also set up massive anti-drone defenses.
Since there was no other place to hit the guns themselves, the operators decided to damage the barrel.
Although the three 2A36 Giatsint-B guns were damaged rather than destroyed, this will make it difficult to use them against Ukrainian defenders in the near future.
The strikes involved fiber-optic-controlled FPV drones of the Phoenix Company of the Pomsta (Revenge – Ed.) Brigade.
This type of weapon has a maximum range of 30 kilometers, which makes it difficult for some weapons to reach.
The Oryx OSINT project estimates that 57 2A36 Giatsint-B guns were lost or damaged during the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war.
Militarnyi previously reported that the drones of the Phoenix Company of the Pomsta (Revenge – Ed.) Brigade hit seven units of Russian equipment in the Kramatorsk sector.
The company’s FPV drones destroyed enemy vehicles, some of which were abandoned during the failed assault.
The destroyed vehicles include two tanks, two infantry fighting vehicles, two armored personnel carriers, and one BTS-4 armored tractor.
The destruction of one infantry fighting vehicle and a tank took place thanks to a drone with a drop system while they were in motion. The operator managed to make the drop in time, which led to damage to the equipment, after which the vehicle’s destruction started.
