New facts were discovered in the case against the former management of Motor Sich.
The Security Service of Ukraine informed the ex-President of the company about a new suspicion within Art. 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Facilitating the activities of a terrorist organization.”
The SSU press service reported this.
The investigation discovered that after the start of the full-scale invasion, Vyacheslav Bohuslayev paid “taxes” and “fees” to the budget of the self-proclaimed “Donetsk People’s Republic” as he continued to cooperate with the Snizhne Machine-Building Plant located in the occupied territory.
The investigators uncovered that the terrorists received over 290 million Russian rubles in “payments” from the sale of aircraft products for the needs of the Russian Federation.
“The leaders of the occupying administration of Donetsk directed the received money to the needs of military groups of the Russian Federation, which participate in hostilities against the Defense Forces in the eastern front,” the SSU stated.
The published recordings of the conversations demonstrate that Vyacheslav Bohuslayev discussed the payment amounts to the Snizhne Machine-Building Plant. The published information is dated July 2021.
In March 2022, during active hostilities on the territory of the Zaporizhzhia region, the President of the company discussed the scheme of importing products through occupied Crimea with a “business partner in the Russian Federation”.
In October 2022, Bohuslayev discussed the supply of the Motor-Sich enterprise’s products through the “shell companies”. This probably regards the sale of components to the Russian Federation.
Also, during new searches, over two dozen medals, diplomas, and honorary awards from the military and political leadership of the Russian Federation to the president of Motor Sich Joint Stock Company were discovered.
In December 2017, Motor Sich Joint Stock Company announced the loss of control over the Snizhne Machine-Building Plant assets.
In January 2018, Vyacheslav Bohuslayev commented to Radio Svoboda that the company transferred the Snizhne enterprise to a foreign company.
“The property remained with us. This is management, not ownership. We transferred the plant to be managed by another company. We cannot work there according to the laws of Ukraine. We have hired a company to manage our factory. However, the plant is fully subordinated and is under the full control of the Motor Sich Joint Stock Company,” he said.
He also added that Motor Sich will continue purchasing the company’s products, but in “another country”, but he did not specify which one.
In October 2022, then President of Motor Sich Joint Stock Company and the Head of the company’s foreign economic activity department were detained by the SSU. The investigation of the case continues.
Currently, Motor Sich Joint Stock Company has appointed new management. Oleksiy Nikiforov is serving as the new Head of the company.
At the beginning of November, the capacities of the companies Motor Sich, Zaporozhtransformator, AvtoKrAZ, Ukrnafta, and Ukrtatnafta were transferred to the Ministry of Defense.
