The National Police’s Liut Brigade has been armed with Ukrainian-made Bohdana 155mm wheeled self-propelled howitzers.

The brigade’s press service reported on this and released a video of their combat work.

This artillery system helps to destroy Russian invaders, in particular in the Donetsk region.

The Ukrainian Bohdana self-propelled howitzer is used by the artillerymen of the Dnipro-1 fire support regiment, part of the Liut Brigade.

“Our fury reaches the enemy at a distance of more than 40 kilometers, and the 155 caliber creates a real wow effect for the Russian infantry,” says commander of the howitzer, call sign Serp.

The video shows how the Bohdana’s crew is firing at the places where Russian invaders are concentrated in one of the frontline areas.

Ukrainian reconnaissance drones provide confirmation of the accuracy of targeting, and they also help to adjust the fire of the National Police artillery.

“The Liut Brigade continues to master the latest Ukrainian weapons and make them an effective tool for destroying the enemy. We are the iron shield of Ukraine, and each of our salvos brings us closer to victory!” the commander of the howitzer said.

The Ukrainian-made 155 mm Bohdana wheeled howitzers are increasingly being deployed in the arsenal of various military units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. In particular, the 44th Separate Artillery Brigade “Hetman Danylo Apostol” has been reinforced with such self-propelled howitzers.

According to an official statement by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi, the Ukrainian defense industry reached a production rate of up to 20 Bohdana self-propelled howitzers per month in October 2024.

The latest versions of 2S22 Bohdana 155mm wheeled howitzers come with a shell loader. The chassis used for them is a Ukrainian-made Tatra Phoenix 8×8 or Tatra T815 truck with a Czech Puma L2 Long armored cabin.

In early October, Ukraine also presented for the first time a trailer howitzer based on the artillery unit of the Bohdana self-propelled artillery system. The work on such a system first became known in November last year.
