Chinese state-owned defense giant Norinco has unveiled a new generation of modular Black Bee drones capable of operating in organized swarms.

This was reported by the Defence Blog publication.

The feature of the drones is their modular design, which allows them to be used for reconnaissance, targeting and engagement.

In addition, they can operate in so-called swarms and fly autonomously to drop ammunition at a pre-selected location.

Particular attention was drawn to the broadcast of the Chinese TV channel CCTV, where Black Bees were launched simultaneously, each armed with six small live ammunition, and then conducted a coordinated attack on improvised enemy positions.

China calls this strategy a new era of ‘smart combat units’ that can overwhelm air defenses through sheer numbers, autonomous coordination, and flexible control.

Earlier, Militarnyi reported that the Chinese defense industry had presented its own version of the V-BAT drone, actually having copied the technical solutions of the American company Shield AI.
