BK-16: Photos Confirm Complete Destruction of Russian Transport and Landing Craft in Crimea

Photos taken by the Russians themselves confirm the complete destruction of their BK-16 transport and landing craft in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

The photos were published by the Telegram channel “Dossier of the Spy.

The combat operation to destroy the enemy boat was carried out by the “Kryla” unit of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, using a strike drone.

At the time of the strike, the BK-16 boat was moored near the pier in the area of the village of Novoozernoye. According to the Telegram channel, the strike took place on February 12.

Earlier, the burning of the boat was confirmed by a satellite image that the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine published in its video.

A few days earlier, information about the destruction of the Project 02510 BK-16 transport and landing boat appeared in a report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This is the second confirmed case of the destruction of a Russian boat of this type. The first such enemy boat was sunk in May 2022.

Currently, the Russian Black Sea Fleet has five boats of this type, and four more are operated by units of the Russian Guard.

The boat is designed to transport and land marine infantry or special forces units, provide security for water areas, escort ships, and participate in sabotage and reconnaissance operations. Read more about it in this blog.
