The drone operators of the 414th Separate Brigade of Unmanned Aerial Systems “Birds of Magyars” destroyed a rare Russian Zemledelie minelaying system.
This was reported by the brigade’s commander, who posted a video on his Telegram channel.
The combat vehicle was detected by the brigade’s reconnaissance drone in the direction of the Kursk and Belgorod Oblasts of Russia.
Two FPV drones were used to destroy it. The effectiveness of the first strike is unknown, while the second hit the vehicle’s launcher.
As a result of the attack, the Zemledelie completely burned down.
According to the ORYX OSINT service, Russian troops have lost at least five such vehicles since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
The Russian Zemledelie mobile minelaying system is designed to quickly create minefields in strategically important areas.
It resembles the Grad and Tornado-G multiple launch rocket systems. It also uses 122 mm rockets.
The complex consists of a combat vehicle on an eight-wheeled armored KamAZ chassis, a transport and loading vehicle, and transport and launch containers with engineered ammunition.
The combat vehicle is equipped with two pods of 25 rockets each. It has a satellite navigation system, an on-board computer and a weather station, which allows for adjusting the firing to suit the weather conditions.
One container with mines contains more than 7000 mines, 25 in each container.
The total number of containers is 50, with two units for each.
