The Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive 38 pickups. Vehicles will soon go to the units of the Ground Forces.
This was announced by the Come Back Alive Foundation.
Cars were purchased thanks to Kyivstar and its subscribers.
SUVs are needed, in particular, to evacuate the wounded.
The Fund said that by the 25th anniversary of the first call on the Kyivstar network in November last year, the mobile communications operator allocated UAH 25,000,000 for the Dobro Peremozhe project.
Another 13,016,873 hryvnias have been collected by its consumers since then.
“Each of these cars will save more than one life of our defenders. They are needed, in particular, to evacuate the wounded. We thank everyone who joined the project, and, of course, Kyivstar for the history of a consistent and fruitful partnership,” said Oleh Karpenko, director of the Department of Development and Partnerships of the Fund.
In order to join the fundraising for SUVs, the company’s customers connected the “Help UAF” option while paying for their tariff. And so they transferred up to 50 hryvnias from the cost of the Come Back Alive Fund for the needs of the army.
It is still possible to join via selecting the “Super Power” option on the mobile communications operator’s website.
“A year has passed since the beginning of a full-scale invasion, and our military needs support more than ever. We do not stop and move together towards victory,” says Oleksandr Komarov, Kyivstar CEO.
The charity foundation notes that over 100 thousand subscribers have connected to the “Super Power” option and now the Armed Forces are helping with each bill payment.
It should be reminded that Come Back Alive Foundation has recently presented a drones mobile control post based on a minibus platform. The 4×4 car is fully adapted to the comfortable operation of drone operators.
