The Belarusian company KB Displays has developed a combat module for the Russians for the Rat mobile anti-drone system.
It was first presented in 2023 at the Army-2023 exhibition, but the tower’s Belarusian origin was not mentioned.
The system has two versions: a targeted laser destruction system and a cannon armament.
The origin of both was reported as being created by specialists from the Shokin Istok company on the basis of the USF-70K4 armored vehicle.
It was stated that the modification of the system with cannon armament uses a remotely controlled combat module with a 30-millimeter cannon and a projectile detonation control system that allows for physical destruction of targets at a distance of up to 4 km.
The booklets published on August 19, 2025, by the Belarusian company KB Displays also showed the ADUNOK-BM30 combat module, and among the vehicles was the Rat (center):
In the original description from the brochure, the ability to hit low-flying, low-speed air targets is referred to as “using a special ammunition type.”
The combat module is based on the Soviet-designed 30 mm automatic 2A42 cannon. It is used to arm BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles, BMD-2 airborne assault vehicles, attack helicopters, etc.
The actual state of development of the remotely fuzed munition is not known, although it was announced to be completed in the spring of 2024.
In October 2023, Magomed Akhmatov, deputy director of the Kizlyar Electromechanical Plant, also spoke about the development of an automated weapons control system that allows for the programming of ammunition.
However, as of August 2025, no public tests of either the munition or the combat systems for it have been demonstrated.
Accordingly, the capability of the Belarusian combat module “ADUNOK-BM30” to counter air threats, which was installed on the Rat mobile system for fighting drones, is not known.
