Belarusian troops have received the first batch of serial BTR-V2 armored personnel carriers.
The @imamilitary Telegram channel reported on this.
The newest vehicles were transferred to the 120th Separate Mechanized Brigade, stationed in Minsk.
The number of armored personnel carriers received is not specified, but it is likely that this is an experimental batch and does not include a significant amount of equipment.
The official presentation of the BTR-V2 took place in 2021 at the international arms and military equipment exhibition MILEX-2021.
Since then, the vehicle has undergone significant changes, and the final version under the MZKT-690003 index was adopted.
The BTR-V2 received additional mounted armor: the level of ballistic protection in the frontal projection was increased to Br5, and in the side projection to Br4.
As a result, the combat vehicle gained 2.5 tons, bringing its weight to 24.5 tons. Its range has decreased by 300 km, to 900 km.
The armored personnel carrier was also equipped with a new combat module, Adunok-BM30.2, featuring a 30-mm automatic cannon, a coaxial 7.62-mm machine gun, and two Konkurs ATGMs.
The vehicle’s maximum speed is up to 110 km/h on roads and up to 10 km/h in water.
The APC is powered by a WP13.550A0 inline six-cylinder diesel engine with 550 hp, paired with a hydromechanical six-speed gearbox manufactured by MZKT OJSC.
The rear landing compartment can accommodate eight soldiers.
