Training of the Territorial Defense Forces near the border with Russia will begin in Belarus.

The Ministry of Defense of Belarus reported on this.

The training will take place from September 10 to July 3, 2024 in the Vitebsk region.

Conscripts from Vitebsk and Orsha districts will be involved.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the main aim is to check the work of military registration and enlistment offices, state bodies to strengthen the army with mobilized personnel.

$17,340 was allocated for the training, which is three times less than in 2023.

Currently, Belarus is intensifying training of the army and reservists, which should improve the army’s capabilities and demonstrate its combat readiness.

The Vitebsk region will become the 10th region to host the exercise and related training since the beginning of 2024.

Militarnyi previously reported that a concentration of military equipment of the Belarusian Armed Forces was observed in Stolin, the Brest region, 12 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
