During a flight of Russian-Iranian drones over Gomel, Belarusian forces shot down at least one drone.

The information was reported by sources from the Belarusian Flagshtok media outlet.

The incident took place on the morning of February 26 above the western industrial area of Gomel.

That morning, witnesses saw a military helicopter pursuing the drone. At one point, the unmanned aircraft began to fall.

At least five Shahed-136–type drones flew over Gomel that morning.

The Russian drones were intended to attack Ukraine, but for unknown reasons they deviated from their original route.
