The Belarusian Air Force has received a new batch of modern Su-30SM2 fighter jets.
The country’s Ministry of Defense reported this on its Telegram channel.
The exact number of aircraft delivered is not confirmed.
However, based on the size of previous deliveries to Belarus, it is likely one or two fighters.
The aircraft arrived at Baranovichy Airfield, where the Belarusian Air Force’s primary fighter aircraft are stationed, including MiG-29s, Su-27s, Su-30s, and Su-30SM2s.
The supply of modernized Su-30SM2 fighters to Belarus started in 2025.
Over the past year, Minsk received three batches. In May, the first two aircraft, tail numbers “09” and “10,” arrived, followed by two more in August, tail numbers “11” and “12.”
The last batch of 2025 was recorded in December, with aircraft “13” and “14.”
On January 29, 2026, the Belarusian Ministry of Defense announced the arrival of the first batch for the current year.
This suggests the total number of Su-30SM2 aircraft in the Belarusian Air Force now stands at seven to eight units.
Including these deliveries, the total Su-30 fleet (SM and SM2 versions) in Belarus is expected to reach 19-20 aircraft by early 2026.
The Air Force plans to form two full squadrons based on this equipment.
