Belarus is preparing to hold the Territorial Defense Forces exercise in July.

The training will take place in the Vitebsk region, and 110 reservists are expected to be called up.

In total, during the Territorial Defense Forces exercise, the Vitebsk region will become the 10th region since the beginning of 2024 to host the training and exercises.

Belarus is intensifying army and reservist training to improve the army’s capabilities and demonstrate its combat readiness.

In addition, mobilization exercises will be held in Belarus at the end of July.

The main goal is to check the work of military registration and enlistment offices, government agencies and organizations to fulfill the tasks of reinforcing the army with mobilized personnel.

Separately, it was noted that $17,340 was allocated for the Territorial Defense Forces exercise, which is three times less than in 2023.

Militarnyi previously reported that the militaries of Russia and Belarus are conducting a new stage of tactical nuclear forces exercises.

The Russian Federation claims that the purpose of the exercises is to maintain the readiness of personnel and equipment in case of the use of tactical nuclear weapons “in order to unconditionally ensure the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Union State.”

During the exercise’s first stage, which started on May 21, the Russian military practiced the use of Iskander systems and their covert movement to the area of missile launches.
