Venues are being prepared in Belarus to accommodate 20,000 people mobilized in Russia.
The Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine shared about this.
They are supposed to replenish the units of the armed forces of the Russian Federation stationed in Belarus.
According to intelligence data, resulting from this replenishment, the ratio of “experienced” to “young” Russian soldiers would be 1 to 5.
Existing military objects along with civilian premises and buildings are planned to be used to accommodate the military personnel from Russia.
“Warehouses, hangars, and other premises of abandoned agricultural enterprises and farms are transformed for those needs. Relevant instructions were also given to the Armed Forces of Belarus and local councils,” reported the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The Defence Intelligence notes that after increasing the staff, the units will use Russian military equipment stored in warehouses in the territory of Belarus. The plan is also to strengthen them at the expense of equipment and weapons removed from storage in the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
“The lack of equipment for transporting personnel of the occupying forces is planned to be replenished at the expense of engaging the civilian trucks and vehicles,” the statement emphasized.
Those Russians who have recently entered the territory of Belarus are also being mobilized. According to Ukrainian intelligence, the Belarusian authorities had also made an order for the military to “facilitate” the mobilization of Russians who recently entered the country’s territory.
Yesterday, in a military unit near the capital of Belarus, a sudden check of combat and mobilization readiness began.
During the exercise, conscripts will be practicing the draft and restoring the skills of those eligible for conscription. This includes removing military and special equipment from storage to check its combat readiness.
As previously reported, Lukashenko instructed the State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus to start preparations for defense “according to wartime standards.”
