The Belarusian military-industrial complex has created tactical tablets capable of operating in extremely difficult external conditions.

These devices are being developed by the Belarusian Research Institute of Electronic Computers.

“When conventional gadgets fail in the rain, frost, or as a result of impacts, VM2455 and VM2456 continue to work,” the developers noted.

These are not just tablets, but specialized computing devices designed to be used in the most difficult conditions.

They are designed to operate in the field under the influence of precipitation, high humidity, changed atmospheric pressure, intense solar radiation, as well as in the presence of static and dynamic dust in a wide temperature range from minus 50°C to plus 55°C.

The tablets can be used as universal computing devices installed in vehicles.

The products retain their performance even when exposed to powerful vibration and mechanical shocks.

The developer proposes to use these robust tablets in field operations, as well as in automated control systems and industrial facilities.

Due to their weight – about 5 kilograms – the tablets are not suitable for infantry.

At the same time, they will prove themselves well when installed in armored vehicles and on warships.

For example, such tablets can be equipped with software that will allow the unit to navigate the terrain, perform calculations, and specify targets. This will allow to combine intelligence, control and targeting tools for fire platoons into a single unit.

Similar programs are already in use in Ukraine, and they are installed on tablets. In Ukraine, a similar program is called Kropyva. Command post systems help commanders view all incoming data from  front line troops on a large screen.
