On June 22, the Ministry of Defense of Belarus launched the military mobilization exercises in the Gomel region on the border with Ukraine. It will last until July 1.

It is emphasized that these are the pre-planned military exercises. Similar ones were held last year in the Mogilev region.

The purpose of the military exercise is to check the readiness of military commissariats to carry out their assigned tasks. They will work on replenishing military enlistment offices and calling up conscripts.

During the exercises, the military commissariats will implement the “measures to notify and submit conscripts to points of departure to military units.” After that, the people notified will be sent to their place of residence. This will examine the control notification processes.

It is planned to involve special operations forces of the Armed Forces of Belarus in the exercises. This is done in order to create an environment close to reality.

Previously, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that up to 4 thousand soldiers are at the border with Ukraine from the side of Belarus. Russian troops are also stationed in the settlements, but there is no accumulation of forces for the offensive.
