The Ministry of Defense of Belarus has accused Poland of having twice violated the state border with its helicopter.

According to the Ministry of Defense of Belarus, in the afternoon, Belarusian radar recorded “the approach of a Polish aircraft.”

“At about 3:20 p.m., the aircraft crossed the border of the Republic of Belarus, going up to a distance of one and a half kilometers. At 4:22 p.m., the helicopter violated the state border again, going 300 meters deep,” the statement said.

The Ministry of Defense of Belarus added that in connection with the “incident” another aircraft was raised, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country is preparing a note of protest to Poland.

In turn, Poland denied the statement of Belarus about the alleged crossing of Belarusian territory by a Polish helicopter.

“We inform you that today’s statement by the Belarusian side about the alleged crossing of the border by a Polish helicopter is a lie. This is confirmed by flight control and radar records – no such event took place,” the statement said.

The command assured that all information provided by the media was subject to in-depth analysis and detailed consideration.

At the same time, the Polish command believes that the information provided by the media of the “Belarusian regime” should be treated with caution and prudence, as this information is often an element of provocation and disinformation.

“The Polish army, despite the constant provocative actions of the Republic of Belarus, has consistently adhered to all the provisions and rules concerning the inviolability of borders,” the command summarized.

In early September, the State Border Committee of the Republic of Belarus claimed that a Polish military helicopter had allegedly violated airspace in the Berestovitsa district of the Grodno region on the afternoon of Friday, September 1. At the time, Warsaw said that it would verify the allegations, but remained skeptical.

Also in early August, a similar incident occurred when two Belarusian helicopters flew into Poland at low altitude, which was why they were not immediately detected.

Official Minsk continues to deny that this happened.
