The sniper instructors of the Come Back Alive Foundation have trained the soldiers of the National Police “Lyut” (Rage – ed.) Assault Brigade as part of the “Beast Catchers” project.
The Foundation reported this on social media.
It also published a video capturing the training process of the Ukrainian military.
40 marksmen were trained for the “Lyut” Brigade.
“Forty more trained and armed with high-quality optics marksmen in the military,” the Come Back Alive Foundation shared.
The Foundation also transferred and helped customize 32 optical and 8 thermal imaging sights, observation optics, rangefinders, weather stations, silencers, and other equipment with a total cost of UAH 2,786,383,81.
Within the framework of the “Beast Catchers” project, instructors of the Come Back Alive Foundation are to prepare 600 marksmen for 10 brigades of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
The Foundation will also provide them with 600 sights, and in particular, 100 thermal imaging ones, along with the mounts to them, targets, and shooting gongs.
The total cost of the project is about UAH 25 million.
“A marksman is a well-trained soldier who shoots better than others in his unit. He has optics and a little more knowledge of how to hit targets at a distance of up to 600 meters, how to provide cover for his unit, and how to engage the most important enemy targets: machine gunners or AT grenadiers and invader’s assault group,” explains the instructor of the Come Back Alive Foundation with the call sign “Chech.”
The expected outcome of the “Beast Catchers” project is to provide Ukrainian units with better trained and accurate marksmen, critically needed both in the offensive and during active defense missions.
The first training course was conducted for 60 soldiers of the 32nd Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
