Three people are having signs of being poisoned by an unknown substance. It is impossible to determine its origin.

Soldiers of the Azov Regiment published a video demonstrating the current condition of the victims.

Civilians had minimal contact with the substance, as the epicenter of the attack was at a considerable distance from where the people were located, yet the servicemen were closer.

“We were in position, in the shelter, heard some sort of explosion, and went up to check what was going on. We got up and saw a fog, more like smoke, which was not thick. Command “to shelter” was given. When we came in, I felt suffocated. It was extremely difficult to breathe, I could hardly breathe in. There was immediate dizziness in the head and leg failure as if they were made of cotton,” said the injured soldier.

The civilian victims include a man and an elderly woman.

The man shared that all the victims were having similar symptoms – weakness, tachycardia, and difficulty breathing.

“It was like a fog, a white smoke. And it had a sweet aftertaste,” the victim added.

The elderly woman is also under medical supervision and shares that she is unable to get out of bed due to weakness. She had no visible health problems before.

“(I had – ed.) three attacks, lost consciousness. I was barely saved,” the victim added

All those with signs of poisoning are in a relatively satisfactory condition.

It is impossible to investigate the scene due to the constant shelling.

“According to the results of the examination, it can be concluded that the combat poisons, or potent poisons, mostly suffocating, have been used. Full verification of the diagnosis cannot be conducted, as we are in a complete blockade and cannot perform a toxicological analysis,” said the doctor at the military hospital.

The main current task is to monitor the condition of personnel and the possible consequences of poisoning.

Previously, on the evening of April 11, the military of the Azov regiment reported that the aggressor had used a poisonous substance.

Marines from the 36th Brigade, who are also stationed in Mariupol, recorded a video message to the Ukrainian people.
