Soldiers of the 12th “Azov” Special Forces Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine posed as Russian scouts and captured three invaders.
The video with their stories was released by the brigade’s press service.
As a result, two Russian military servicemen of the 2nd and 1st companies of the 153rd Tank Regiment, Valeriy Averin and Volodymyr Kolokolov, were captured.
The third one captured was a serviceman of the 69th Brigade, Sergey Zhegin.
The Ukrainian National Guard special forces entered the Russians’ positions, convincing them that they were Russian airborne scouts, and started a conversation, during which they even shared Snickers bars with the Russians.
During the conversation, one of the Ukrainian soldiers revealed that he was, in fact, Ukrainian and calmly offered the Russians the chance to surrender, which they accepted.
“I think they caught us nicely,” Russian Zhegin said.
The prisoners added they were treated well in captivity and advised their compatriots not to go to war.
“Despite the statements of Russian propaganda, the 12th Azov Special Forces Brigade adheres to international law regarding prisoners of war. Every Russian who surrenders is guaranteed to save his life and health,” the brigade emphasized.
Militarnyi recently reported that the soldiers of the 46th Separate Airmobile Brigade captured a detachment of Russian invaders in the Donetsk region.
Then the hideout of a group of 9 invaders was discovered using a drone.
This happened in the Kurakhove direction, where the invaders are trying to advance by constantly storming Ukrainian positions.
