The Come Back Alive Foundation has handed over 500 FPV kamikaze drones to the Azov Assault Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine.
The Foundation’s press service announced this on its social media.
The Foundation reported that during the missile attack on January 2, the production facilities of M-TAC, a brand that systematically supports the Ukrainian military, including the Azov Brigade, with drones, were damaged.
“And while responsible businesses are resuming their production, the Come Back Alive Foundation has responded to their call to support the uninterrupted supply of FPV drones for our defenders,” the statement reads.
An extraordinary batch of drones was handed over to the Azov Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine.
The Foundation noted that this assistance was made possible due to donations from concerned people.
Previously, as of December, the 10,000 FPV kamikaze drones purchased within the joint project of the Come Back Alive Foundation, United24, and Monobank called Operation Unity were transferred to Ukrainian defenders.
The drones were distributed among 53 military units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
These include units of the Marine Corps, Ground Forces, Air Assault Forces, Special Operations Forces, Territorial Defense Forces, the Khartia and Azov National Guard Brigades, National Police units, and the Security Service of Ukraine’s Alpha Group.
The Come Back Alive Foundation received the first 5,000 kamikaze drones in October. The drones have already been transferred to Ukrainian defenders.
The Come Back Alive Foundation received the second batch of 5,000 FPV drones in early December.
To comply with their missions, FPV kamikaze drones are equipped with Ukrainian-made HEAT and high-explosive incendiary warheads.
