The Australian government has decided to transfer 30 Bushmaster armored vehicles to Ukraine.

Dmytro Kuleba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, tweeted this news on his account.

Australia will also allocate funds to help train Ukrainian servicemen.

Foreign Minister thanked Australian government for the new aid package.

“Grateful to Australia for the new security assistance package which includes training for our forces and 30 additional Bushmasters. These armored vehicles have shown excellent results on the battlefield and we requested more of them,” Dmytro Kuleba said.

Since their arrival in Ukraine, Bushmasters have been actively operated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“The President of Ukraine, the Minister of Defense and the Ambassador asked for an increase in their supply,” the Australian Defense Minister said.

After Ukraine receives 30 additional Bushmasters, the total number of such armored vehicles in the Armed Forces of Ukraine will reach 90 units.

Also, after Catholic Christmas, Australia will send a contingent of up to 70 Australian Defense Force personnel to Great Britain to help train Ukrainian soldiers.

“Our soldiers will be part of a large training program in the United Kingdom to help prepare their Ukrainian comrades for their struggle against Russia’s unwarranted and unlawful aggression,” the Minister added.

The Australian Bushmaster armored vehicle is intended for the transportation of servicemen to the area of the mission.
