A missile attack on Kyiv was recorded from the International Space Station on the night of December 26–27, 2025.

The remarkable footage captures events unfolding above the Ukrainian capital from Earth’s orbit.

AstronautiCAST YouTube channel published the video footage.

The published footage shows bright flashes over the city, caused by air defense activity and aerial explosions. The bursts of light are clearly visible against the backdrop of Kyiv at night.

Filming from space makes it possible to assess the intensity of the attack and the scale of the air defense response. Such documentation of combat operations from orbit is extremely rare.

According to official data, on the night of December 26–27, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine. The enemy used ten Iskander-M and Kinzhal ballistic missiles, as well as thirty cruise missiles – Kh-101, Iskander-K, and Kh-22.
