Due to the participation of the international community, it was possible to reach a ceasefire agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, reported this, the Armenian service of Radio Svoboda writes.
“Of course, it was impossible to have a ceasefire without having an agreement. Let’s hope that Azerbaijan will continue to observe the ceasefire regime,” Grigoryan said.
On Wednesday, Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, announced that Baku presented Yerevan with a proposal to establish a unilateral humanitarian ceasefire. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia claimed that they had no information about such a proposal.
Azerbaijan also expressed readiness to hand over the bodies of approximately 100 Armenian servicemen.
Leyla Abdullayeva, Spokeswoman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, on her Twitter page, accused Armenia of violating the agreement. She noted that Armenia continues launching artillery strikes at the positions of Azerbaijan.

Armenia reported at least 105 dead, and the Azerbaijani side reported 50 dead. There are also casualties among the civilian population of Armenia.
The Ministry of Defense of Armenia reported that on September 14, at 20:00, the fire at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border had practically stopped.
As previously reported, fighting took place in the border areas of Azerbaijan and Armenia on the night of September 12 to 13.
According to the information coming from the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, the Armenians mined the supply routes of the Azerbaijani army. Armenia is also accused of shelling the Azerbaijani forces located in the direction of the settlements of Basarkecher, Istis, Garakilsa, and Horus with mortars.
Azerbaijan claims loss of personnel and the destruction of military infrastructure. Baku stated that it was taking measures to suppress the firing points of the Armenian army.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defense of Armenia claimed that Azerbaijan was firing large-caliber weapons at the positions near the cities of Goris, Sotk, and Jemruk. The Armenians accused the Azerbaijanis of using the attack drones. Yerevan also claims loss of manpower and destruction.
In addition, border guards of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation were under fire in Gegharkunik, Armenia.
The personnel was not injured. However, the equipment and the building where the Russian military was stationed were damaged.
