The Armed Forces of Ukraine have been allowed to use a new domestic all-terrain amphibious vehicle, the TAHA.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine said it had codified the vehicle.
TAHA is small in size and can turn around on the spot. This allows it to maneuver effectively in confined spaces.
The all-terrain vehicle can operate in swamps, marshes, deep snow and even when driving out of water on ice.
The pressure on the surface created by its tyres is less than that of a human foot, which allows it to move on loose and unstable ground.
In addition, TAHA can overcome obstacles over 1 meter high and can carry up to 1 tonne of cargo or up to 10 passengers.
The vehicle’s speed on land reaches 40 km/h, and on water – up to 6 km/h.
The all-terrain vehicle has several fuel tanks and can operate for more than two days on a single refueling.
The Ministry of Defense noted that such vehicles were already in use at the frontline for evacuation, ammunition and food transport, where other military equipment could not pass.
The manufacturer claims that TAHA can replace vehicles such as snowmobiles and hovercraft.
“The amphibious all-terrain vehicle can move on any terrestrial surface and is the only vehicle in the world that can move from water to ice,” the developers said.
As a reminder, since 2023, the Ukrainian military has also been training outside the country on Bandvagn BvS 10 armored tracked all-terrain vehicles.
